Agriculture partners Afgri, NWK and Senwes together with central South Africa’s number one commercial radio station OFM partnered for the second successive year to raise much needed funds for the Agri Securitas trust fund in the fight for farm safety of farming communities.
During the annual Agri SA conference held in Pretoria on 15 and 16 October 2015 AFGRI, NWK, OFM and Senwes contributed R 437, 910.00 to the trust.
Agri Securitas aims to contribute towards rural safety in South Africa. The fund provides financial resources to farming communities to enable them to improve their own safety, as well as the safety of others living in their communities, thus promoting a safe and prosperous agricultural industry in South Africa.
Says Nick Efstathiou, OFM General Manager: “As the premier broadcaster in the Free State, North West and Northern Cape, our listenership includes the agricultural and rural communities of central South Africa. The Agri Securitas Trust Fund provides safety and security measures for these communities and we are happy to contribute to the food security of South Africa.
